Evergreen Marine (UK) Ltd is currently recruiting for Shipping Clerk in our Logistics Department.
Overview of the Shipping Clerk position:
We are looking for one candidate to join our Logistics Department, based in London Head
Office, working for one of the largest container shipping companies in the world.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable on the phone, customer focused with excellent
interpersonal skills.
Objective:
- Previous experience in Logistics is not required; on the job training will be given.
- Monitor and control equipment to ensure sufficient stock available for export.
- Monitor and control equipment and means of transportation necessary for efficient movement of cargo between shipside and customer's premises.
- Ensure efficient, accurate and timely production of export matters.
Duties may include some of the following:
- Resolve invoice queries.
- Check and approve all haulier and feeder operator invoices.
- Complete weekly, monthly statistics reports for head office.
- Handle additional haulage charges and disputes.
- Despatch haulage order.
- Maintain system cost data.
Requirements
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK, without sponsorship
- Good IT, organization and communication skills
- Experience in shipping/logistics or customer service within office environment will be an advantage
- To be honest, responsible and punctual, to be able to work on your own initiative as well as to be a great team worker
